More on-line facilities for patients – you can now view sections of your medical record!
EMIS Access allows you to access your record securely from any computer. In order to use EMIS Access, you first need to be set up for the system. We ask you to do this in person at reception, bringing in identification, preferably passport, driving licence or ID card. You will be given a user name, and will be able to set your own password.
Once registered for EMIS Access, you can make, check or cancel appointments with a GP on-line or with one of our practice nurses for asthma or diabetic checks. You can also order or check your repeat medication.
You can also view all your current medication, whether it has been added as a medication that may be repeated, or whether it is medication that has been prescribed as a one-off.
We are pleased to announce that there is now a facility available to view further aspects of your medical record. These are the coded clinical information that has been added to your record, as well as test results and consultations. This is not available automatically, but is rather something that you will have to request. You will need to make a request to the practice, and we will alter the settings in your medical precord so that you can view this information. Due to demand this may take up to 8 weeks from your request.
